Recapping on the men's league fixtures from last Saturday.

The 1st XI were beaten by 8 wickets after Totteridge chased down 197 in just 26 overs. Batting first, Lawrance played an excellent innings of 74, while Ray added 37 in an 88-run partnership as Hertford reached 139-1. However, Adeesha claimed 5-68 to trigger a collapse, with Hertford bowled out for 196. Carlson and Wilson struck early in the chase, but an unbeaten stand between Shah (83*) and Rossington (55*) saw Totteridge home comfortably.

The 2nd XI also suffered a heavy 245-run defeat after Langleybury posted an imposing 331. Murphy claimed 2 early wickets, while L.Abell and S.Ruskin both finished with 3 wickets as Hertford worked hard to dismiss the hosts. In reply, Abeywickrema (28) and Marnoch (30) were the only batters to build a partnership as Carter's outstanding spell of 4-12 helped bowl Hertford out for 86.

The 3s produced an excellent all-round performance to secure a 12-run victory at home to Wheathampstead. G.Rideout led the way with a superb 89, sharing an opening stand of 141 with Carter (57), while M.Ives (30) and Morris (27) helped Hertford post a competitive 244. In reply, Beardsley struck twice early before Ives completed a fine all-round display with outstanding figures of 5-41, dismissing Wheathampstead for 232.

Hertford 4th XI held their nerve to claim a thrilling victory away to Welwyn Garden City. Chasing 187 to win, Igolen-Robinson top-scored with 47, while Donaghy (25) and A.Rideout's unbeaten 36 helped Hertford get past their target with just 2 wickets and a few overs spare.
