
1st XI – Hertford beat Radlett by 48 runs
The 1st XI produced an excellent all-round performance to defeat Radlett by 48 runs. Batting first, Ray anchored the innings with 62 while Cavener added 38. Contributions from Mikedis (37) and Williams (36) helped Hertford reach 228 all out. In the 2nd innings, Hertford’s bowlers were excellent. Carlson claimed 5-50, his 3rd 5-fa in 4 weeks, while D.Orchard took 3-47 as Radlett were bowled out for 180.
2nd XI – Hertford beat Wheathampstead by 150 runs
Hertford’s 2nd XI recorded a dominant 150-run victory over Wheathampstead. The innings was transformed by a superb partnership between T.Orchard, who made 105, and F.Ruskin, who scored 85. Their stand helped Hertford post an imposing 294/8. Defending the total, Ruskin completed an outstanding all-round display with 3-38, while David Beardsley added 2-36. Wheathampstead were bowled out for 144.
3rd XI – Hertford lost to Mill Hill Village by 87 runs
The 3rd XI were beaten by Mill Hill Village by 87 runs, despite a strong bowling performance. Mill Hill Village were restricted to 209 all out, with Duke leading the attack with 4-23. S.Clarke also impressed, taking 2-28. In reply, Hertford struggled to build partnerships and were ultimately bowled out well short for just 122. G.Rideout top-scored with 28 while Marnoch contributed 20.
4th XI – Hertford lost to Old Owens after posting 240/9
The 4th XI posted a competitive 240/9 against Old Owens, but the visitors chased down the target with 6 wickets remaining. The innings was built around Carter’s 52 and Page’s 42 while Byrne (35) and Cox (33) helped Hertford reach a challenging total. With the ball, Hertford fought hard but Old Owens were able to reach the target with 6 wickets in hand.
