David Williams:
Having taken in to consideration your (Richard Eaton’s) 4-21 and the unforgettable spells by Tim Camp, my vote goes to Jimmy Leather’s spell against North Mymms - 5.3 - 3 - 2 - 6.
Ben Orchard (#1):
Brad Dawson just messaged me to say he couldn’t vote on the Instagram post but agreed with Ross Murphy’s nomination. Hope that makes sense.
Ben Orchard (#2):
Ross Murphy asked me to nominate the 2s skipper’s 5-fer on the last day of the season. He said it was a privilege and an honour to just share the field with such a leader.
Ben Orchard (#3):
I’m voting for Dan Orchards’s angry half-trackers against Hoddesdon at home. Match winning and the last time he landed it where he was aiming.
George Pavey (reply to Ben #3):
That was a golden spell after 2 of the worst overs I've ever seen.
Steve Page:
Rich Eaton gets my vote. On condition that he never mentions it again!
Stuart McIntyre:
Any mention of Richard Eaton needs to be ignored!
Chris Eaton:
Richard Eaton - illegal bowling!
Steve Gale:
Adam Carlson 5/20 v Potters Bar. Could have been 7!
Alan Jones:
Adam Carlson against Potters Bar.
Will Ray:
Hard to argue against figures of 6-2 from James Leather but my pick is Adam Carlson's five-fer vs Potters Bar at home.
Jamie Riddle:
James Leather first spell at Welwyn… batsman couldn’t get anywhere near the ball!
Nigel Hillary:
Richard Eaton gets my vote.
Ollie Ray (reply to Nigel):
Don’t start this Nige…
Rob Walters (Hoddesdon CC):
100% got to be Sam Davis at Hoddesdon. Great field placing with a mid off!
Hugh Cavener:
Has to be Tim Camp at home for the Sunday 2s, can’t remember who it was against, based on pure entertainment alone he should win this award. I have never seen so many 5 bounce deliveries in one spell in all my life. Nor have I laughed so much. It got to a point where the ball took such a long time to get to the other end, the batsman would comment on the delivery before the ball even got to him to top it all off, he complained to the umpire on at least three separate occasions for wides that had pitched off of the wicket! I think anyone else that was there that day would agree Tim is the winner hands down.
Ben Ahl:
Dave Benham for the 4s vs Great Gaddesden on a pudding of a pitch.
