
Despite losing the toss, Hertford produced a superb bowling display. Elizabeth, Emma, Cornelia and Colleen each claiming wickets, while Emily and Holly bowled with good pace and discipline to keep the run rate under control. The fielding was sharp throughout, making it difficult for Kings Langley to find the boundary or build any momentum, as they were restricted to 270 for 7. Behind the stumps, Kate was outstanding — quick on her feet and backing up the bowlers perfectly with a confident and assured performance.
In reply, Hertford’s batting was confident and composed, quickly settling into a strong rhythm. Cornelia led the charge with an excellent innings, while Emily and Kanchana contributed well to keep the scoreboard moving. Their efforts helped Hertford surge past 100 and comfortably chase down the target.
A superb all-round team performance saw Hertford finish on an impressive 303 for 5, sealing a convincing and thoroughly deserved victory. Well done all!
