We wanted to send a message out to thank everyone who recently attended our first fundraising festival where together we raised an amazing £4,000 for Isabel Hospice.

We hope you enjoyed your alfresco gins and would like to thank the club's members for their support as well as letting us use the clubs facilities and for the additional donation of £300 which was collected at the presidents day during cricket week. Pinksters Gin were also very generous and donated the first gin of the evening. We also had some great auction and raffle prizes which included a weekend use of a BMW Mini kindly donated by Stephen James BMW Group Enfield. We would also like to thank the volunteers who gave up their free time to help make the evening a great success.

As mentioned in a previous email, Isabel Hospice is a local charity caring for adults with a life-limiting illness across eastern Hertfordshire. Their specialist palliative care is available to adults both at home and at an In-Patient Unit as well as at day service locations. Their care is free, although the running costs each year is currently £4.5 million, of which £2.8 million need to be raised from charitable sources.

A refreshing take on the dark and stormy.

Ingredients:
1.5oz gin / 0.5oz peach schnapps / 0.25oz lime juice / 3oz ginger beer or ginger ale

Stir all ingredients over ice in a rocks glass. Enjoy!
