Players and friends of HCC, some details below on cricket week which is upcoming 23rd - 27th July. Please take time to read all of the details.

As usual, there will be 5 matches during the week and following the game on the Friday evening, there will be the Summer Party.

Lunches: Spaces are still available for the Mon, Tues, Thurs and Friday. Contact Jim Riddle to book a place (jamesriddle211@btinternet.com)

Matches: If you would like to make yourself available for any games during cricket week please use the availability sheet on the board in the clubhouse or contact George Pavey (georgepavey@hotmail.co.uk) (07599 065597)

Monday: Hertford take on Southgate in the competitive Hertgate Trophy match, despite last years wash-out Hertford will aim to retain the trophy for a third year in a row.

Tuesday: Hertford play Weekenders CC, a game always played in excellent spirit where young Hertford batsman have previously prospered.

Wednesday: A new addition for this year, an Inter-club 20/20 game will be played featuring Hertford’s finest over 25 year-olds Vs. Hertford’s finest under 25 year-olds. This promises to be a seriously competitive addition (Start time: 5.30pm)

Thursday: Ex-Hertford skipper Steve Gale brings a strong team to Hertford to compete for trophy that has seen an unprecedented number of ties over the years!

Friday: The traditional finale to the week sees the Presidents XI take on Hertford – always featuring plenty of runs, a close finish and played in a fantastic spirit.

Friday Night: The main event of the year, The Summer Party will then kick-off following the end of the Presidents game – food and music is included with every ticket – just £10 for adults and £5 for u18’s. Partners, friends and families are all encouraged to come so spread the word! More details on how you can buy tickets will follow shortly!
