A great evening was had by all at Hertford Cricket Club's annual end of season dinner and awards presentation.

Hertford CCs Annual Dinner at the clubhouse has proved to be a great success in recent years and 2017 was no different.

Members and players (old & new) enjoyed the evening's entertainment which featured a 3-course meal followed by awards, captains' speeches, prize draws and a raffle.

Esteemed guest Michael Owen, ex-Wales and British & Irish Lions rugby football captain, kindly took a Q&A session and presented awards to players. It was fascinating to gain an insight into the career of a player who succeeded at the very highest level. A massive thanks goes out to Michael for attending the event.

Below is a list of the 2017 award winners:

  • 1st XI player of the year - Will Ray
  • 2nd XI player of the year - Jamie Riddle
  • 3rd XI player of the year - Rahul Sharma
  • 4th XI player of the year - Jonny Underdown
